Young earth or old earth? This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview.

Genesis 1:31 says, “God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.

Every time Scripture uses a number with the Hebrew word for day it refers to a 24-hour day. Thus, the plain interpretation of Genesis 1 is that God created everything in six, 24-hour days about 6000 years ago.

This is rejected by the non-Christian world, with scientists who assert that nothing exploded and evolved into everything over billions of years.

Hear an interview with Ken Ham of Answers in Genesis at TheChristianWorldview.org, where he explains why accommodating an old earth view undermines God’s word.

This weekend, we’ll discuss why a young earth answers man’s oldest problem.
