Now the sons of Eli were worthless men; they did not know the Lord. 1 Samuel 2:12

It is a repeating pattern throughout history—God-fearing parents raising children who turn out not to be God-fearing as adults. Consider the ungodliness of the sons of Israel’s high priest, Eli (1 Samuel 2:12) or King David’s son, Absalom. Perhaps you know or have personally experienced a child who was raised in a Christian home, but upon reaching adulthood, had little to no interest in the things of God.

It’s not an overstatement to say that the biggest challenge (and concern) for Christian parents is to raise their children to love God when they become adults. Of course genuine love for God can’t be forced or manipulated, so what can Christian parents be and do to cultivate God-fearing adult children?

This weekend on The Christian Worldview, we will address this question as we broadcast LIVE from the men’s breakfast at Fourth Baptist Church in Plymouth, MN. Our guests will be Matt Morell, president of Central Baptist Theological Seminary (and father of five), and Alan Hodak, a long-time teacher and administrator in Christian education (and father of adult children).

Be sure to join us for this important conversation!
