Guest: Rich Christiano, film producer, “A Matter of Faith”
“I will walk within my house in the integrity of my heart. I will set no worthless thing before my eyes” (Psalm 101:2-3).
Most films produced by Hollywood include obscenity, profanity, violence, sexual scenes or innuendo, and a humanistic—or even anti-Christian—worldview. And yet many professing Christians go to the movies each week as if taking in the sin presented on screen won’t have any effect on them.
What impact does the movie industry have on Christians specifically and our culture in general? Is there a biblical criteria on which followers of Christ can base their movie-watching?
Rich Christiano thinks so. He is a longtime producer and director of Christian films and the founder of the website, ChristianMovies.com. He joins us this weekend on The Christian Worldview to give us a behind the scenes look at what Hollywood is selling. He will also tell us about his new film “A Matter of Faith” (fall 2014) which depicts the compelling story of a college freshman encountering a professor who teaches evolution.
