I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.  —Jesus (Matthew 16:18)

Discerning Christians know that our society is going through a major change right now, transitioning from a generally respectful view of God, the Bible, and Christians to marginalization or even hostility toward Christians.

What impact will this new America have on the local church, or for the purposes of our discussion this weekend, the parachurch?

Parachurches are “Christian faith-based organizations that work outside and across denominations to engage in social welfare and evangelism, usually independent of church oversight” (Wikipedia).

Travis Allen, the teaching pastor at Grace Church in Greeley, Colorado joins us this weekend on The Christian Worldview to discuss our “brave new America” and the pros, cons, and future of parachurches.
