According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), a new coronavirus respiratory disease that was first detected in China called COVID-2019 (i.e. Coronavirus Disease 2019) has quickly altered life worldwide. The World Health Organization (WHO) has just upgraded the disease as a global pandemic.

While the CDC reports that there have been 1,629 total case in the U.S. with 41 deaths, a relatively small number considering our population of over 300 million people, the threat of COVID-19 has led to an enormous downturn of the stock market, cancellations of large gatherings (sporting events, Disneyland, conferences, etc.), shortages of basic goods (toilet paper, hand sanitizer), runs on food, suspensions of schools and workplaces, and major disruption to the travel industry, amongst many other things.
Which leaves us to the obvious conclusion: How quickly life can change and how little control we have.

This weekend on The Christian Worldview, we will discuss COVID-19, the focus of almost every news story and people’s lives all around the world. How should a Christian think about this? What should you do and not do? And what are some theological truths to keep in mind and rest in?
