Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom He has chosen for His own inheritance.  Psalm 33:12

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo (D) said at a bill signing event this past week, “We’re not going to make America great again.  It was never that great.”

Of course the impetus for this comment is in response to Pres. Donald Trump’s campaign slogan and repeated call to “Make America Great Again.”

Governor Cuomo’s remark is representative of many with Left-leaning views that America has never been a great country.  Why hasn’t it been?  The governor’s press secretary explained: “When the President speaks about making America great again—going back in time—he ignores the pain so many endured and that we suffered from slavery, discrimination, segregation, sexism and marginalized women’s contributions.

This weekend on The Christian Worldview, we’ll discuss whether America has been or is a great nation and what actually makes one.  We’ll also take your phone calls.
