Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer, contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality. Romans 12:10-13

With 130 MPH winds and an incredible 50” of rain in some areas, Hurricane Harvey has wreaked devastation on the people and land of the coastal region around Houston, Texas. Nearly 50 people have lost their lives from what is being called the costliest natural disaster in U.S. history.

In previous weeks on the program, we have discussed some of the great divides in this country. Then this great storm occurs and we have seen people from every color and creed helping and sacrificing for each other.

This weekend on The Christian Worldview, we will discuss Hurricane Harvey. Did global warming intensify this massive storm, as some are saying? Does the outpouring of support mean the divisions in this country are less significant that we thought? Is the flooding around Houston relatable to the flood in Noah’s day? How can such devastation be explained in light of God’s rule over creation? And what can you do to help?

We have two excellent guests, Cal Beisner, founder of Cornwall Alliance for the Stewardship of Creation, and Terry Mortenson, historian of geology at Answers in Genesis, who will join us to answer these questions.
