Today God is mainly portrayed as a God of love, compassion, and forgiveness. This is true…but it’s not the full truth.
The actual God of the Bible is also One whose judgment falls on those who willfully and unrepentantly disobey Him. Consider the global flood God caused to destroy all breathing life. Or how the Jews, God’s chosen people, were punished, killed, or exiled for rebellion. Or the Great White Throne judgment where God will throw those who have rejected Him into the Lake of Fire.
Yes, God is love, but He’s also the just Judge who is to be feared and obeyed.
